\r\n<\/li><li>uses numerical models (ADCIRC, STWAVE, M2D, DELFT3D) in several Italian coastal areas to study the interaction between currents induced by wind and waves and the associated transport along the coastline; \r\n<\/li><li>analyzes the impact due to the presence of coastal structures (eg. ports, brushes submerged and emerged, etc.) through simulations of scenarios before and after their construction; \r\n<\/li><li>analyzes the dispersion of conservative substances (dredged material) and non-conservative (coliform bacteria) to assess the risk to human health and marine ecosystems; \r\n<\/li><li>contributes to the development of the bi-optic PhytoVFP model for the calculation of phytoplankton primary production from satellite and in situ data; \r\n<\/li><li>implements MathCAD and Matlab codes for processing data collected in situ;
